The PlaywrightAn award winning, published playwright, Jerry’s plays range from the absurd (Romance 101) to the tragic (Sunday Visitors) with a lot of comedy thrown in. His full length, politically incorrect back stage play Boys At Play was a awarded the IRNE Award (Independent Reviewers of New England) and is published by Samuel French. His plays Romance 101 and Sex Education are published by Baker’s Plays and appear in the “Best Of The Boston Theatre Marathon”
Jerry’s play Sunday Visitors won the Audience Choice Award at the Boston Playwrights’ Platform Festival, as did his short piece What I Did On My Summer Vacation. Jerry’s short play Fallen Star was a finalist at The EMACT Competition at Brandeis University and garnered him an “Excellence in Playwriting Award”. Recent plays include his new neo Western, The Straight Line, which was produced by Image Theater of Lowell, and three short musicals entitled Triple Play: The Musical!
Memories for Sale
In 2013, Jerry completed his first film Memories For Sale, which has played at short film festivals around the world… recently playing in Sydney, Australia, Cambridge, UK, and Romania, as well as a myriad of film festivals nationally. It was awarded the Audience Choice Award at the SENE Festival in Providence, RI. He has also completed the first two episodes for a television series entitled Second Time Around.
