Jerry Bisantz
The DirectorJerry began directing in 1999, and he decided to take on an easy play: Glengarry Glenross! Needless to say, he was hooked. He has directed all around the Boston area. Musicals, straight plays, TONS of original works… all are right in his wheelhouse.
Recent directing jobs include Old Jews Telling Jokes at The Regent Theatre in Arlington (Playhouse Productions), the original play Tapped Out at Lowell’s Image Theater, (www.imagetheater.com) Good People at Arlington Friends of the Drama (www.afdtheatre.org), Monsters: The Musical with GP Productions, and The Music Man at The Carlisle Savoyards.
Other directing credits include Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical, Once Upon A Mattress, Fiddler On The Roof, A Few Good Men, Much Ado About Nothing, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Crossing Delancey, Distant Music, Enter Laughing, and Tales From A Tavern.
Jerry has directed a myriad of new works by local playwrights… too many to number. The festivals he has worked in include The Hovey Summer Shorts (founded by him), The Boston Theatre Marathon, ACME’s New Works Festival, The Playwrights’ Platform Festival, and The Cambridge Center For Adult Education’s “Gekko Readings”.
